The present book comprises the study of Language, Phonetics, Morphology, Grammar, and Semantics. These are the methods of linguistic analysis. If we want to gain command over English language, we have to study the sound pattern first. The systematic and scientific study of sound pattern in English is called Phonology. After that, the students should learn how the words are formed in English. It is known as English Morphology.
After studying Morphology, it is time to study the systematic structure of the language which is known as English grammar. Grammar is prescriptive, descriptive and communicative in its nature. Then is the time to concrete the vocabulary in English. It is known as lexical study of the language. Eventually, the language is studied from its meaning point of view. It is known as Semantics in Linguistics. It is an effort of the university to acquaint the students with all tenets of language so that the students should be confident in the use of English language without any problem.
