I have great pleasure to place the book on “Biochemistry” in the hands of T.Y.B.Sc students and teachers of Chemistry. This book has been written strictly according to the new revised syllabus of T.Y.B.Sc. of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
I have attempted to make this book informative, simple and in lucid language. Considering that it is an introductory paper of Biochemistry, basic concepts are explained with the help of suitable examples, reactions, figures and diagrams. Question pertaining to the chapters are given at the end of each chapter. Glossary and abbreviations are given at the end of book for quick reference of the terms involved in this book of Biochemistry. I hope that interest of the students and teachers will generate in the subject after reading the book.
