It gives us an immense pleasure and satisfaction to put this book ‘Plant
Physiology’ for Semester – III in the hands of S.Y.B.Sc Botany students and
teachers. This text has been written according to the new revised syllabus of
S.Y.BSc (DSC, BO-212) of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari, North Maharashtra
University, Jalgaon as per NEP 2020 which has been implemented from the
academic year 2025-26.
This book covers all the aspects of Plant Physiology as per syllabus. It has
been written in student friendly manner with efforts on making subject matter
up to date and concise. We have tried to make this book informative, simple and
lucid. This matter has been augmented with appropriate figures and illustrations.
Questions pertaining to the chapters are given at the end of chapters. We hence,
believe that students of S.Y.B.Sc. Botany will certainly like and appreciate this
book.
Though extreme care has been taken while writing, editing and proof
reading of the book, some mistakes might have been left unnoticed. The proper
and critical suggestions from our colleagues and student will always be welcome
for improvement of this book. We are thankful to the Chairman and members
of Board of studies in Botany of KBCNMU for their support and suggestions
during writing of this book. We express deep sense of gratitude to authors and
publishers whose books we have consulted while writing this book. We are
also thankful to our publisher Shri Rangrao A. Patil and his staff of Prashant
Publications, Jalgaon for doing sincere efforts in bringing out this book in time
and in a beautiful form.
Warm regards,
