Globally this science plays a crucial role in agriculture by ensuring a reliable supply of high quality seeds for crop production, contributing to food security and sustainable agriculture progress of any nation.

India is land of variety of crops under Cultivation-cereals, millets, vegetables, pulses and many more. Now we are leader in the production of rice, wheat, cotton but lagging in the production of oil seed crops, pulses and many other crops also. So Seed Technology course will introduce the theory and practicals based on certain issues of Seed Technology. These includes major seed industries, types of seeds production and varietal programme, seed testing, certification, processing and marketing of seeds. Now this sector has high demand and excellent career opportunities in authentic supply of seed for development of our country agriculture in total.
