This text has been written according to the new revised syllabus of T.Y.B.Sc. of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, which has been implemented from the academic year 2020-21.
The writing of this book strongly influenced by the major purpose to help the students to understand the fundamental nature of Horticulture. This book covers all the aspects of the subject as per syllabus. We authors feel that such a most important branch of agriculture is introduced to the students at Third Year B.Sc., so that students will understand the importance of plants in their daily life. This syllabus has very good fertilization which is definitely going to cultivate knowledge of botany. We have tried to make this book informative, simple and in lucid manner. This matter has been augmented with suitable diagrams and illustrations. This book will be referable to all who need it in their all problems regarding theory and practical’s of horticulture. Questions pertaining to the chapters are given at the end of chapters. We hence, believe that students of T. Y. B. Sc. Botany will certainly like and appreciate this book. We hope that the interest will be generate among the students, teachers and farmers after understanding the subject.
