    Plant physiology is the study of vital activities of the plant. It is the study of structure and functions of the cell and its surrounding environment. It includes topics like water absorption,ascent of sap,loss of water through transpiration,synthesis of organic food materials and its breakdown to realese energy,nitrogen metabolism,seed germination and dormancy, production of flowering etc. plant biotechnology is a science of industrial processes like tissue culture, food production, production of recombinant plants, bioremediation and biofuel technology etc. some modern technics like genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics is now a part of biotechnology.
    Savitribai Phule Pune University, Board of Studies in Botany revised syllabus and is going to be implemented from june 2020. The second paper of botany Sem III is study of course Bo 232 Plant Physiology while Sem IV
