The Knowledge of Medical & Forensic Zoology will aid to understand the various types of crime / processes those occur in surrounding environment of human being. Its knowledge to some extent will help to build up the opportunities to zoology students in developing careers in forensic science. Forensic science is very close to Zoology as compared to other science subjects. Students will learn how they can apply their knowledge of zoology to solve questions in forensic investigations. They will learn how to use arthropods in estimations of time of death, animal parts and traces in investigations of illegal trade and animal evidence to explain circumstances of death. In most of the Indian Universities it is adopted as an independent course.
