This text has been written according to the new revised syllabus of T.Y.B.Sc. of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, which has been implemented from academic year 2020-21.
The writing of this book strongly influenced by the major purpose to help the students to understand the fundamentals of Plant Breeding. This book covers all the aspects of the subject as per syllabus. We, authors feel that, such a most important branch of botany is introduced to the students at T. Y. B.Sc., so that students will understand the importance of plants in their daily life. This syllabus has very good fertilization which is definitely going to cultivate knowledge of Plant Breeding. We have tried to make this book informative, simple and in lucid manner. This matter has been augmented with suitable diagrams and illustrations. This book will be referable to all who need it in their all problems regarding theory and practicals of Plant Breeding. Questions pertaining to the chapters are given at the end of chapters.
