This text has been written according to the new syllabus of the National Education Policy 2020 (N.E.P.-2020) of S.Y.B.Sc. of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, which has been implemented from the academic year 2025-2026. The book is primarily meant for S.Y.B.Sc. students. This is a minor subject—I, ethnobotany, which is helpful for the students to understand ethnobotanical knowledge, different ethnobotanical plants, their traditional medicinal uses and their administration, and also fieldwork to study the various medicinal plants. While writing this book, a large number of reference books, research articles, and websites were referred to. It has been written in a student-friendly manner with efforts to make the subject matter up-to-date and concise. We have tried our level best to bring out a quality textbook with up-to-date information, sticking to the syllabus. Each chapter is followed by short-answer questions and long-answer questions. A glossary is also given at the end.
