The writing of this book is based on the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) for the Second Year Bachelor of Science (S.Y.B. Sc. Geography). Third-semester geography students at Savitribai Phule Pune University in Pune. The book makes an effort to give readers the essential understanding of each concept discussed in the syllabus through the use of examples and illustrations.

We are confident that the book will satisfy the needs of the students in this course. There have been attempts to provide a concise definition of “Geomorphology,” precise terminology, and an interesting and practical description and presentation of landforms. Just as much attention should be paid to maps, diagrams, and pictures as to the text. This book is meant for an introductory course in geomorphology.
