present the English version of the subject BO-318: Herbal Cosmetics, included in the curriculum of B.Sc. Third Year (T.Y. B.Sc.), Semester V, Botany (BO-318) of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University.
As per the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020), provisions have been made to enable students to receive education in their major subject. In accordance with this, we have made an attempt to prepare the best informative text book for this subject, which is offered to students from the Faculty of Science and technology.
While preparing this book, we faced several challenges, such as finding appropriate botanical terms for the valuable plants and their products this subject. However, with sincere efforts, we have tried to present the concepts and information in a simple and understandable manner.
The main objective behind writing this book is to provide fundamental knowledge of the subject in the students, as envisioned in the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020). Accordingly, we have attempted to explain the concepts in simple language so that students can understand them easily. This work is not intended as a new creation but is an effort to make the subject more accessible and comprehensible for learners.
At the end of each unit, we have included a set of questions to help students in their studies and examination preparation.
