The practical course BOT-203 MJP based on major course BOT-201 Taxonomy of
Angiosperms and BOT-202 Plant Physiology and Metabolsim for S.Y.B.Sc. students under
NEP-2020 from 2025-26 is marching step towards understanding the sbject of Botany. As
practicals are crucial in science education because they provide hands on experience, re
inforce theoretical concepts and develop essential scientific skills. By taking interests in
the practicals students of botany will analyse and interpret data will have practical skills
in specific subject will have some idea of observation measurements, fundamental skills
thus they will grasp the subject ideas and enhance of learning process.
This small book BOT-203 MJP practicals is as per new syllabus 2025-26. Practicals
are written as per our experience of several years in handling the subject practicals. All
the matter has been written with utmost care, so that by reading these protocols students
will get exact idea of doing there practicals with full confidence.
The practicals based on BOT-201-M-Taxonomy of Angiosperms – How to describe
plants (key characters) Tools of Taxonomy, submission of You Tube Links, Plant Families,
(every family with at least two commonly available plants have been described) with
special attention so that studens will love subject. While the practicals based on BOT
202 – M – Plant Physiology and Metabolism have been presented with full care so that
practicals based on solution presentation. DLPD, Plasmolysis, transpiration, WHC of soil,
PGR’s and some minor experiments have been written with utmost care so that students
can perform the practicals.
