The author and publisher of this book have a great pleasure and satisfied to
present this book, ZOO 102 (SEC), Practicals in Advanced Vermitechnology
(P) Semester I for F.Y.B.Sc. Zoology students. The book has been written
as per the new revised syllabus B. Sc. Zoology Major (03 years) / B. Sc.
Honours in Zoology (04 years) for the Colleges Affiliated to Savitribai Phule
Pune University, Pune to be implemented from June 2024.
The main aim in writing this book is to provide basic information of the
subject, to enhance the skill of the students, to cater the needs of the subject
as per National Education Policy (NEP), 2020. The author has tried to explain
the concepts and information in a simple lucid language so that students could
understand it easily. The author of this book has first written the syllabus of
this course and started the Certificate Course in Vermicompost Technology
(C.C.V.T.) at the Arts, Science and Commerce College, Rahuri and S. P. Pune
University has approved the course,

experienced practical hand in the subject.
The illustrative figures and photographs included in each practical will
help the students to grasp the subject matter. The book is well furnished with
glossary, and oral questions with answers and common species of earthworms
observed in Maharashtra at the end of the book in Annexure section.
